John Onogu Lawal

John Onogu Lawal – MBA (Finance & Investment) is a finance, strategy and business transformation executive with over 14 years of progressive experience across international development, humanitarian programmes and private-sector organisations in Nigeria.

As Chief Operating Officer of Africa Diaspora Corporation, John provides strategic leadership across organisational strategy, operations, corporate governance, financial sustainability, partnerships and performance management. He works closely with the Board and management team to translate ADC’s strategic priorities into executable plans, scalable operating structures and sustainable growth initiatives. He also leads efforts to strengthen internal controls, risk-management frameworks, policies, standard operating procedures and cross-functional accountability.

Before joining ADC, John held senior finance and management positions on major programmes funded by USAID and the Global Fund, working with international organisations including Navanti Group LLC and Chemonics International. His experience covers financial planning and analysis, budgeting and forecasting, treasury and cash-flow management, donor compliance, financial reporting, audit readiness, statutory compliance, multi-currency transactions, process optimisation and organisational risk management.
